Terms of Service

Last updated 11 August 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Pantry Pal (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Important: not dietary or medical advice

Pantry Pal helps you track pantry items, note dietary preferences, and plan meals — including allergy and "free-from" labels such as nut-free, dairy-free, or gluten-free. These labels are provided as a planning convenience only. They are not a substitute for reading product packaging, verifying ingredients yourself, or professional medical or dietetic advice. You are solely responsible for confirming that any food is safe for you or your household before eating it, especially where allergies or medical conditions are involved.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Pantry Pal offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription, billed monthly through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Account page or mobile app — your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and don't attempt to disrupt it, reverse-engineer it, or use it to store or share content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.

6. AI-assisted features

Photo scanning and recipe recommendations use third-party AI providers and may occasionally misidentify items or make imperfect suggestions. Always double-check scanned results before relying on them.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Pantry Pal available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features depending on third-party providers (AI scanning, retailer pricing, email/SMS delivery) may be temporarily unavailable if those providers have an outage.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pantry Pal isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, including any harm arising from reliance on dietary labels, AI-identified items, or recipe suggestions.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date above when we do, and material changes will be flagged in the app.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
